Seedance 2.0 Free: Limits and a 190-Credit Try

Looking for Seedance 2.0 free access? Check signup eligibility, the 190-credit starting option, cheaper prompt rehearsals and a budget for your first clip.

A glowing film strip unspools from a small gold coin on a dark stage.

Looking for Seedance 2.0 free access? In SynthPulse, video generation uses credits; eligible new accounts may receive signup credits, but the amount is admin-configured and may not cover a Seedance attempt. The lowest configured Seedance 2.0 option is one silent, 4-second clip at 480p for 190 credits.

Those figures come from the SynthPulse pricing configuration checked on October 29, 2026. They aren't vendor subscription or API prices. Check your balance and the current generation quote before spending anything.

Seedance 2.0 free access: check what your account covers

An account and a generation allowance are separate things. Signup credits depend on the welcome-credit settings and eligibility checks, including email and network abuse controls. We can't promise a fixed grant or a fixed number of free videos.

To try Seedance 2.0 for free using a welcome grant, your eligible account would need enough available credits to cover the displayed total. If it doesn't, stop before submitting. Opening the studio doesn't make the generation free, and selecting a cheaper setting doesn't remove its credit charge.

Plan attempts around the available balance shown in your account; welcome-credit offers in old articles or other people's screenshots may differ.

The Seedance model page covers the family and its studio options. This page stays with the spending decision: whether to attempt Seedance now, rehearse elsewhere first, or save the balance for a clearer brief.

Start with the cheapest Seedance attempt

Open the Video studio and use the single-clip form. Select Seedance 2.0, set duration to 4 seconds and resolution to 480p, then set quantity to one. Leave optional AI prompt enhancement off for this budget exercise; it has a separate credit charge.

Enter a text prompt, or choose image input and attach one still. SynthPulse sends that still as the first-frame reference. Both input paths have the same configured Seedance 2.0 generation price.

At four seconds, the checked prices are:

  • 480p: 190 credits per clip.
  • 720p: 410 credits per clip.
  • 1080p: 1,020 credits per clip.

At 480p, eight seconds costs 380 credits and twelve seconds costs 570. The current production service accepts at most two clips per submission. Four clips at the lowest setting require at least two submissions and cost 760 credits in total before optional prompt enhancement. Each clip is charged at the full unit price.

Check the total after choosing all settings. Submit once, follow the task status in the studio, then watch the returned clip before deciding on another attempt. The full Seedance setup guide has the wider parameter walkthrough and version comparison.

My recommendation for a first look is one 190-credit attempt. You can judge whether the subject moves as requested without immediately paying for a longer clip. A low-resolution result won't settle questions about fine detail, so keep that judgment for a later check at your delivery settings.

Rehearse motion on Grok Imagine when it answers a question

Grok Imagine 1.5 is a cheaper rehearsal option in SynthPulse if you already have a reference image. Its configured 4-second price is 24 credits at 480p, or 45 at 720p. This studio entry is image-to-video only, so attach your still in image mode before looking for it in the picker.

The rehearsal has a narrow purpose. You can notice that your camera instruction contradicts the action, or that a four-second brief contains too many actions. You cannot use a successful Grok clip as proof that Seedance will preserve the same motion or subject.

For example, suppose your still shows a plain paper lantern hanging above a wooden shelf. You want a quiet background shot for an event announcement. These prompts are examples to adapt, not tested recordings or measured model comparisons.

Start with:

The paper lantern sways gently once, then settles. Camera stays fixed at shelf height. Keep the whole lantern in frame. Soft light from the left. One continuous shot, no cuts, no added text.

Before generating, decide what you're checking: does the lantern stay attached at the top, and does the shot remain still? A beautiful color grade won't compensate for a floating lantern.

If you change the camera instruction, keep the rest of the prompt:

The paper lantern sways gently once, then settles. Camera moves slowly closer, ending with the whole lantern still in frame. Soft light from the left. One continuous shot, no cuts, no added text.

Choose one. Requesting a fixed camera and a push-in together leaves the intended shot unclear. Once the brief is settled, switch to Seedance 2.0, recheck the settings and quote, and judge its result separately.

A small budget with a stopping point

Two Grok rehearsals at 480p/4s cost 48 credits. Add one Seedance 2.0 attempt at 480p/4s and the planned generation spend is 238 credits. A later Seedance attempt at 720p/4s adds 410, bringing that plan to 648 credits.

These are arithmetic examples, not recommended purchases or guaranteed routes to a usable clip. They exclude paid prompt enhancement and any image-generation expense. If you already have a clear brief and only want to see Seedance, going straight to its 190-credit setting costs less than the rehearsal plan.

This is where a Seedance 2.0 free search can lead to an expensive detour: repeated cheap tests still use credits. Give each one a question to answer. If the first rehearsal shows that you need a different reference image, fix the image before buying another video attempt.

For our lantern shot, write an acceptance note before submitting: "Lantern stays attached, completes one small sway, camera stays fixed or moves slowly closer as instructed." After watching, record the first visible failure and its time. "Attachment disappears at two seconds" gives you a revision target; "make it better" doesn't.

Set an attempt ceiling you can afford. Stop at that ceiling even if the latest clip is close. Review the current SynthPulse pricing options only after you know which unresolved problem another paid attempt would address.

A prompt checklist before you spend credits

Read the brief as if you had to film it with a camera on your desk. Check these points before submission:

  • Name the visible subject. With a reference still, avoid redescribing it into a different object.
  • Ask for one action that fits four seconds. Leave a second event for another shot.
  • Choose one camera instruction. A locked camera makes a useful starting point when subject movement is the question.
  • Choose the intended aspect ratio before comparing attempts. Reframing changes what you can judge.
  • Decide what must stay recognizable, such as the lantern's attachment or a product's silhouette.
  • Confirm duration, resolution, quantity and the total quote after switching models.

Keep the brief plain enough to revise. "Cinematic, spectacular, dynamic" doesn't say whether the lantern should move. A short instruction about its sway gives you something visible to inspect.

For a person instead of an object, use a photo you have permission to animate and get the person's consent. Use images you own or have licensed; finding a picture in search doesn't establish permission to reuse it.

What goes wrong, and what to change before retrying

The quote is higher than 190 credits

Check the selected version, resolution and duration, then quantity. Confirm optional enhancement is off if you want generation alone. If the current quote still differs, use that quote for your decision; the prices in this article are a dated configuration check.

The cheaper model isn't in the picker

Check the input mode. Grok Imagine 1.5 is configured for image-to-video in SynthPulse. A text-only rehearsal needs a different choice; attaching a reference is part of the Grok route described here, not a hidden free-access step.

The object changes shape or the action rushes

Remove competing instructions and reduce the movement first. For the lantern, replace a broad swing with "a small sway." If the attachment changes, keep the starting image and ask for less motion before changing the whole scene. A prompt can request preservation, but it can't guarantee every frame.

The clip has no sound

SynthPulse submits Seedance with generate_audio: false. The Seedance prices here cover silent video. Repeating the request with dialogue in the prompt won't turn on audio through this form. Plan to add sound in an editor if the finished piece needs it.

The short draft works, but you need a sharper final

Generate at the required settings and inspect that result separately. A new generation can differ; raising the resolution isn't a promise to reproduce the same shot more sharply. Reserve that cost before spending the whole balance on drafts.

FAQ

Is Seedance 2.0 free in SynthPulse?

Seedance generation consumes credits. An eligible new account may receive an admin-configured signup grant, but neither the grant nor enough credits for a Seedance clip is guaranteed. The lowest checked setting costs 190 credits.

Can I use Seedance 2.0 free online without signing in?

You can browse the SynthPulse Video studio while signed out. Submitting a generation requires sign-in and sufficient credits. There is no anonymous free Seedance generation path in the studio described here.

How can I try Seedance 2.0 for free with signup credits?

Check whether your account received a grant, then compare its available balance with the current quote for one 480p, 4-second clip. Proceed only if the grant covers the total. Don't assume signup alone includes an attempt.

Does a cheaper rehearsal make Seedance 2.0 free?

No. Grok Imagine 1.5 rehearsals cost credits too, and switching models doesn't transfer a finished result into Seedance. Use a rehearsal to clarify a brief; use a Seedance attempt when you need to evaluate Seedance itself.

What is the cheapest setting if Seedance 2.0 free access isn't available?

One 480p, 4-second clip costs 190 credits in the checked configuration. Choose a longer duration only when the uninterrupted action needs it, then check the higher quote. For the lantern example, settle the amount of sway before paying for more time.
