What it does well

What this studio does not offer
- Let you set the length here. This studio does not request a duration, so the model decides; a re-roll costs another 30 credits.
- Give you stems or a multitrack here. This workflow delivers one finished MP3 per generation, not a separate vocal and backing track.
- Expose an API. There is no endpoint to call here and no key to issue.
- Accept unlimited text. The studio checks prompt and lyrics length before submission; keep the description focused and put complete words in the lyrics tab.
- Take a named artist. Artist references are filtered and the request can be rejected outright, so describe the sound instead: a raspy male baritone with a rough folk delivery, not a name.
What your Suno song generation produces
You type a description and press one button. What comes back is a finished track: lyrics written, sung, arranged, mixed, with its own cover art, playable in the browser and downloadable as an MP3. Not a stem pack. Not a MIDI sketch. A song.
A Suno generation may return multiple versions. The studio checks which has audio, a title and a prompt, then puts the most complete version first. This page quotes the price for one generation, not for each version returned.
Finished tracks stay in your library. Publishing one to Explore, the public feed here, is also what makes it playable for anyone who is not signed in as you, so an unpublished track is private in the strong sense: no other browser can stream it at all.
Choose how to write your Suno song
The Suno studio tabs differ by how much of the writing you want to do. Describe a theme and the model writes the words. Ask for lyrics first, read them, then hand them over. Or paste lyrics you already have, in which case the model sings those exact lines instead of its own reading of a theme.
Writing lyrics is free on every one of those routes, including the standalone AI lyrics generator, which needs no account at all. Signed in, that is 3 sets a day on a free account and 100 a day on a subscription; signed out, the tool draws on a shared daily pool. The 30 credits are charged only when you submit a music generation request.
Batch mode is the fourth route and it is the same model underneath. One brief becomes up to 200 items, each expanded into its own prompt and submitted as a separate generation request at 30 credits. A batch is not cheaper per request. What it saves is the writing.
The one dial that is not there
You cannot set a precise length in this studio. The form does not collect a duration and this workflow does not send one, even though duration controls exist in some Suno tools. Here the model decides how long the track runs.
If a batch needs to fill a fixed schedule, do not count on each track landing at an exact minute mark. Describe the intended section and ask for clean start and end points that can loop when a block overruns. Re-rolling for length is another generation at 30 credits.
The flip side is that length cannot inflate this bill either. Video here is billed per second, so a longer clip costs strictly more. A music generation request has one fixed price regardless of the track length returned. The credit plans decide how many generation requests your balance covers; the per-request figure itself does not vary with length.
Choose vocals and language for your Suno track
The instrumental switch is sent as a separate setting, so make it agree with your description. If you want no voice, turn it on and describe instruments, rhythm and production rather than a singer or lyrics. If you want vocals, leave it off and describe the voice you want.
Asking for a male or female lead does more than it looks like it does. Suno's vocal-gender parameter only takes effect in custom mode, and custom mode needs exact lyrics rather than a theme, so choosing a voice on the description tab makes the system write lyrics for you first and submit those. That extra call is absorbed here rather than billed. Worth knowing anyway, because the words you end up with are the ones that step produced. Duet is not a real parameter at all and goes in as a style instruction.
Language behaves the same way: ten of them plus auto, steering what gets written rather than putting an accent on a finished vocal. All of it sits on one form in the song studio, with auto as the default that changes nothing.
Writing a prompt Suno can act on
Start with the song idea, then describe the sound: genre, mood, instruments and, if useful, a BPM. The studio sends your description and selected style as generation inputs. The examples below come from earlier tracks, so use them as starting points rather than guarantees of a V6 result.
Specific cues usually help more than a long list of broad labels. Try a subgenre such as neo-soul, lo-fi boom bap or deep house; one dominant mood; and a few named instruments such as felt piano and brushed snare. If tempo matters, give one BPM number and avoid contradicting it elsewhere in the description.
Before writing a long paragraph, check the form's character limits. The description and custom lyrics travel in different fields, and the studio validates each before submission. There is no API here, and what there is instead
People search for a Suno API, so it is worth saying plainly: this site does not have one. No endpoint takes your key, no keys are issued, and nothing here resells access to somebody else's. It is a web app. If an API is genuinely what you need, this is the wrong page, rather than a page that is going to talk you round.
What is wired up instead is most of what an API leaves you to build: a prompt box that already knows the model's shape, a free lyrics writer, billing at a flat 30 credits per generation request, an automatic refund when a generation fails, a library that keeps every finished track, and a public feed you can publish to. The model directory lists everything else running on the same balance, from video to stills.

The first line gives the song idea; the style cues steer the arrangement. It uses a clear mood, named instruments and one BPM number.
- Instrumental, for a class block

Submitted with the instrumental flag on. It still says "instrumental, no vocals" in the text, because the flag is the reliable switch but the words steer the arrangement. Note the opening instruction too: without one, a commercial bed will happily start with twenty seconds of atmosphere.

Naming the instruments is what makes a fusion prompt land. Guzheng and dizi against trap drums is a specific thing; "traditional Chinese music" is not, and comes back as an average of everything.

Production character is a descriptor like any other, and "warm vintage production" is doing real work in this one. Never put a real artist's name where one of these belongs: those references are filtered and the request can be rejected outright.
Suno V6 at 30 credits per request, next to other models
Read from the same pricing table the Generate button charges against. Image and video are quoted at their base tier, 1K for a still and 720p at 4 seconds for a clip, because that is the tier their multipliers stack on. A music generation request has no base tier to quote, because it has no multipliers.

Can I generate a batch of Suno songs?
Yes. Batch mode takes one brief, expands it into up to 200 individual prompts and submits one generation request per item. Each request costs 30 credits, regardless of how many versions it returns; the run also pays one prompt-expansion charge for the whole batch. There is no bulk rate or per-item surcharge, and the button shows the full total before you confirm it. What a batch saves is the writing, not the credits.
Is there a free Suno option?
Eligible new accounts can receive welcome credits when the signup offer is enabled. Eligibility and the available balance are shown in your account; every render spends credits, and further use needs a plan or a one-time pack. Full-song playback and downloads depend on your audio access; free song previews do not unlock them.
How do I make a song with Suno V6?
